I find peace through the solidarity I feel with the musical community. We created a small community that spans across not only space but time as well. Studying and performing music that people in different continents and across the centuries have studied allows me to feel a connection to them regardless of culture or even when they lived. At 17 years old no matter how strongly I feel now about music, I expect as I go off to college and career where I will dive deeper into the world of music it will envelope me and bring me even more peace through the deepening connections it allows me to make.
