In times of war, how can the human spirit thrive?

In her latest project, “In War and Peace: Harmony through Music,” renowned mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato explores the question in far-reaching musical terms. Theatrical lighting, costumes and original texts enhance this unique concert, which receives two Bay Area performances, presented by Stanford Live Dec. 2 at Bing Hall and by Cal Performances Dec. 4 at Zellerbach Hall, as part of the organization’s season-long Berkeley RADICAL celebration of the human voice.
