In a documentary on Bach, I recall it was stated that his compositions aimed to portray ideal beauty of the world in an attempt to convey his adoration for the Lord. Following this philosophy, through my own works and by listening to the Classical masters, I attempt to surround myself with music that exemplifies what is truly beautiful in this world. It has a way of inspiring a sense of serenity, if not even piety.
